Evanston Chamber of Commerce Board of Director's Spring Chili Cook-Off
Fundraiser Saturday, March 10, 2007 at the Evanston Machine Shop (1440 Main
Street).  Participate as a Chili Cook-Off contestant in this fun filled
spring event. Prizes will be awarded for the best booth as well as People's
Choice Award & Judges Choice Award.  Judges Trophies - First, Second and
Third place. People's Choice - This fun addition will be decided in the form
of a "Calcutta" format with first place receiving 50% of the pot, second
place receiving 25% and third place receiving 15%, respectively.
Trophies will also be awarded for first, second and third place for booth
design. The theme is open, so design your booth around your business, chili,
spring fever, "Spice the Ice" or anything you wish.
Sponsorship opportunities are available:
$200 for Gold Level,
$100 for Silver Level
$50 for a Bronze Level.
Donations, door prizes, silent auction items and volunteers for the event
are also needed.
There will be a maximum of 27 booths available (10" x 12" space) for the
event so hurry for the best selection.  Applications will be awarded on a
first come - first PAID basis.  The booth fee is $35.00 per space.  There
will be 3 classes of chili:
1) Red w/out beans
2) Red with beans
3) Green chili
Afternoon activities include chili tasting, music, food, spirits, and
contests.  Evening activities include a live band and dance.  Sponsorship
recognition will be included on posters and ads.  We encourage anyone
willing to help to come out and join us.
