Cancer Support Group
"Together, We Can Cope" The only Cancer Support group that has consistently met in Evanston since January. Our last meeting had 17 people in attendance.
We will hold the meetings at the Uinta County Cancer Resource Center now located at
196 Arrowhead Dr., Ste 9 at 6:15p.m. on the first Thursday of every month. More meetings can be added as interest and participation increase.
Our next meeting will be on November 1st and we invite everyone to our Open House to tour the new, permanent facility that evening. For those wishing to attend the group meeting, the topic will be "Resources for Treatment, Transportation and Coping with Change”. Our support group is for everyone whose lives have been touched by any type of cancer.
The Uinta County Cancer Resource Center is also for all types of cancer and we have money available for screenings for breast, cervical and colon cancer for people who meet the criteria. Information on qualifying criteria will be available at the Open House on November 1st.
No one needs this until they have it. Remember, cancer is the 2nd leading disease and cause of death in Wyoming.
